A New Course Launches This Week, and Last Call for Our Evening Cohort

This is a full week at Nurses for Natural Health — one brand-new program opens its doors, one of our most-loved certifications reaches its final enrollment window of the year, and we're continuing to build toward our biggest launch yet. Here's what's happening, and what we hope you'll take a look at before the week is out.

The Resilient Nurse: Practical Tools to Prevent Nurse Burnout — launching October 18

We hear a version of the same thing from nurses again and again: self-care advice doesn't hold up on a real shift. A bubble bath doesn't help when you're three hours into a double with no lunch break in sight. So this week, we're launching something different.

The Resilient Nurse: Practical Tools to Prevent Nurse Burnout is an 8-contact-hour, fully on-demand course built specifically for bedside nurses working inside hospital systems — not for solo practitioners or outpatient settings, but for the exact pressures of shift work in a hospital. Rather than generic wellness advice, it offers quick, concrete micro-tools nurses can use between patients, during a tough handoff, or in the two minutes they get to themselves in a supply closet. The goal isn't to add one more thing to your plate; it's to help you feel less scattered on the shifts that usually leave you that way.

Early Bird pricing is $97, and because this course is built with hospital systems already in mind, many education departments will reimburse it as a CE expense — worth a quick note to yours before you enroll. There's no live registration link yet, so the fastest way in is to email us directly at contact@nursesfornaturalhealth.org and we'll get you on the list the moment it opens.

Last Call: Evening Cohort of the Functional Nutrition Certification

If evenings are the only time your schedule allows, this week is your last chance this year. Our Evening Cohort of the Functional Nutrition Certification begins Monday, October 19, 6:00–7:30 PM ET, with four live sessions (10/19, 11/2, 11/16, 11/30) building toward 35 AHNA-approved CE hours. Recordings are provided if you have to miss a live date, so you're never locked out by one bad shift.

One nurse who went through the course recently told us, "This is the nutrition course I wish I had!" — and that's really the spirit of it: practical, food-as-medicine content you can bring straight into how you talk with patients, not abstract nutrition theory. This is the last evening cohort we're running in 2026; the next rolling start after this one isn't until January. If mornings don't work for your schedule, this week is the moment to register.

Looking Ahead: The Acupressure Certificate for Nurses

For anyone looking to round out their CE hours this fall with something hands-on, the Acupressure Certificate for Nurses returns October 24 and November 7, 8:00–9:30 AM ET, for 6 AHNA-approved contact hours. It's built around techniques nurses use constantly at the bedside — acupressure points for procedural anxiety, postoperative pain, and nausea — skills you can start using on your very next shift, and ones you can teach patients to use on themselves between visits.

Coming January 5, 2027: The Integrative Nursing Certificate

Looking further ahead, we're continuing to build toward our most comprehensive program yet: the Integrative Nursing Certificate, opening January 5, 2027. The whole program is organized around vitalism — the idea that the body already carries its own capacity to heal, and that a nurse's role is to support that process rather than work around it. Across 60 contact hours (pending AHNA approval), nurses move through five domains — Applied Nutrition, Movement, Lifestyle Medicine, Breathwork, and Meditation & Mindfulness — each closing with a hands-on, ADPIE-based care-plan capstone they can bring directly into practice. It's entirely on demand and self-paced, backed by NFNH's track record of 250+ nurses trained, a 5.0 rating on Google Reviews, and 4.6 on Trustpilot.
