Expressive Arts Therapy for Emotional Release (10:30 AM – 11:30 AM PT) by Dr. Vanessa Ruiz, ND, RN
Led by Dr. Vanessa Ruiz, this session encourages the use of color, movement, and visual journaling as tools for self-care, facilitating emotional expression and resilience.
Sound Healing and Vocal Empowerment (11:45 AM – 12:45 PM PT) - Alexa Terezakis, RN
Led by Alexa Terezakis, RN, a nurse and sound healer, this session will guide you through vocal warm-ups, activation exercises, and a playful yet powerful vocal toning journey—designed to help you release stress, reconnect with your inner rhythm, and feel vibrantly alive. No singing experience needed—just bring your voice and an open heart.

Reflective Narrative Medicine (12:45 – 1:15 pm PT) led by Dr. Vanessa Ruiz, ND, RN
Led by Dr. Vanessa Ruiz, she will guide you through journaling and storytelling to delve into personal nursing journeys, with opportunities for small group sharing to foster connection.
Hormones in Harmony (1:15 PM – 2:15 PM PT) - Dr Teri Rada, ND, RN
In this session with Dr. Teri Rada, naturopathic doctor and nurse, we will explore the critical relationship between self-care practices and the endocrine system, focusing on how lifestyle choices impact hormone balance, particularly cortisol levels. Nurses will gain an understanding of how chronic stress affects the body’s hormone production and how effective self-care strategies—such as stress management, sleep hygiene, and nutrition—can help restore hormonal balance, promote resiliency, and enhance overall well-being.
Restorative Yoga for Deep Renewal (2:15 PM to 3:15 PM PT) with Jim Keegan, RYT-500
This session offers a gentle nervous system reset through supported poses. Discover practical techniques to integrate these rejuvenating practices into your daily routine for lasting balance and deep renewal.
Integration of Modalities in Self-care and Clinical Practice (3:15-3:45 PT)
This session will help prompt nurses to integrate these practices into their self-care as well as their clinical practice.
